Rossignol to launch mountain bike line in spring

PARK CITY, Utah (BRAIN) — Rossignol Group, which recently bought Time Sport and Felt Bicycles, will launch its first line of Rossignol-branded mountain bikes next spring. In announcing the purchase of Felt this year,  the French-based ski giant said it would work with the company to develop the line. The bike line will be distributed through Rossi’s ski retail and ski rental retailers.  “Rossignol’s consumer franchise is active in the outdoors well beyond the winter months, as are our retail and rental business partners,” said Francois Goulet, the president of Rossignol Group North America.  “Given our relationships with those partners, a strong understanding of modern year-round resort operations, and recent acquisitions within the Group, we have the unique ability to offer not only a compelling business opportunity, but a product offering worthy of the Rossignol brand

Shades Monkey offers handlebar stem storage for sunglasses

PARK CITY, Utah (BRAIN) — Shades Monkey is a product to “semi-securely” store sunglasses on uphills or other times while riding.  The patent-pending design comes in two colors, blue or orange, and fits a variety of stem sizes with a self-hooking band. The product was developed by Park City mountain biker Andy Houston. It retails for $9.99.

PressCamp: Strong sales season for Pivot speeds debut of new models

PARK CITY, Utah (BRAIN) — Pivot had been scheduled to unveil the revamp of its Mach 4 Carbon model at Eurobike. But a robust early selling season for the original version of the lightweight 27.5-inch, 115-millimeter-travel trail bike, which debuted here at PressCamp three years ago, accelerated the time table. With a low-slung toptube providing generous standover, the bike was a favorite among shorter riders, and had sold out from sizes XS to M about a month and half ago, Pivot founder Chris Cocalis said.
