Shimano sales grow 8 percent through June

OSAKA, Japan (BRAIN) — Shimano’s overall sales through June were $1.4 billion (133.1 billion yen), up from $1.3 billion (123.6 billion yen) over the first six months last year. And the company’s bike business continues to dominate Shimano’s good news: bicycle component sales were $1.1 billion (106.1 billion yen), an 8 percent increase over last year. Bike sales now account for 80 percent of Shimano’s total sales.
