CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (BRAIN) — Human Kinetics has released a new edition of the popular mountain bike skills book, Mastering Mountain Bike Skills. Written by world-champion racer Brian Lopes and renowned riding coach Lee McCormack, the book includes elite perspectives, real-life race stories, and their own successful techniques to help riders of all styles and levels build confidence and “experience the full exhilaration of the sport.” The book is intended as a guide for all mountain biking disciplines, including enduro, pump track racing, dual slalom, downhill, cross-country, fatbiking, and 24-hour races.

Fox Racing supports IMBA’s instructor certification program

BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — Fox Racing is continuing its support of International Mountain Bicycling Association’s Instructor Certification Program for the third year “Fox Racing wants to help our sport grow and understands that certified instructors play an important role in bringing new riders into the community and showing them the ropes,” said Tammy Donahugh, IMBA’s instructor certification program manager. NEMBAfest draws record attendance in 20th edition

EAST BURKE, Vt. (BRAIN) — The 20th annual New England Mountain Bike Association Festival (NEMBAfest), held June 16-18 at the Kingdom Trails in Vermont, saw registration jump 24 percent to bring in a record 7,100-plus riders over the festival’s three days, organizers said. NEMBAfest, Powered by Pedro’s, is presented by the New England Mountain Bike Association (NEMBA) and the Kingdom Trails Association in partnership with the Wildflower Inn, featuring an expo area with bike and product demos right next to the Kingdom Trails, group rides, mountain bike skills clinics, family activities, camping, live music and more.  The organizers said this year’s festival also brought in more campers, families and vendors than ever before
